Our Organization

Volunteer Southern Arizona’s mission is to inspire, prepare and mobilize people and organizations to strengthen communities through service. Overall, our goal is to promote impactful volunteerism and service in Southern Arizona . The greater Tucson area currently ranks 43rd of 75 mid-size cities in both rates of volunteerism and the number of hours that citizens volunteer (Volunteering in America, 2011). We know that improving this ranking will require both greater involvement by groups and individuals and a stronger volunteer ecosystem to support impactful service.

Volunteer Southern Arizona is a proud affiliate of HandsOn Network, the volunteer-focused arm of Points of Light Institute.
